The people behind the signs
Central Signs has been making and fitting signs from Hamilton in Bloemfontein since 2007, serving businesses across Mangaung, Botshabelo, Thaba Nchu, Welkom and Kroonstad. The team works on shopfronts, vehicle graphics, labels, wall and window decals, exhibition displays and floor graphics, with practical attention to measurements, surface prep and municipal rules where they matter.
When a client sends through an enquiry, the right person gets involved early. That might mean checking the wall condition on site, matching an existing logo, or planning a decal run for a fleet of bakkies. Our people each bring a different skill, but the aim is the same, make the sign easy to understand and built for the conditions it will face.
Leadership and client coordination
Marius Jacobus van Rensburg, the MD, keeps the business steady and the standards consistent. He has a practical eye for what works on a shopfront, what lasts on a vehicle, and what needs a better fix before production starts. Marius is often the one who weighs up the finish, the fixing method and the long term upkeep before any job is signed off.
Annelie Botha, our Client Coordinator, is usually the first point of contact for new work and follow ups. She keeps drawings, measurements, approvals and installation dates moving in the right order. If a client needs a maintenance visit, a reprint or a debranding job, Annelie makes sure the brief is clear and the paperwork is in order.
- Site surveys arranged with the right people on time
- Clear job tracking from quote to installation
- Easy communication for repeat signage and maintenance
Design and artwork that prints properly
Zanele Dlamini, our Graphic Designer, prepares artwork that prints cleanly and reads well at a distance. She handles logo redraws, layout setup and print ready files for banners, labels, decals and exhibition material. On busy jobs, her careful work saves time later because colours, line weights and sizing are checked before anything goes to print.
Zanele also works closely with the production side when artwork needs adjusting for a curved panel, a frosted window decal or a fleet of vehicles with different dimensions. That link between design and making is important, because a file that looks fine on screen can still fail if the sizing is off by a few millimetres.
For businesses in Bloemfontein and nearby towns, this means signs that suit the site, the lighting and the viewing distance, not just the logo.
Production, fabrication and finishing
Lerato Molefe, our Production Manager, keeps the workshop moving in the right order. She plans print runs, vinyl cutting, lamination and finishing so jobs go out neatly and on schedule. In a region where power interruptions can affect timing, that planning matters more than people sometimes realise.
Thabo Ncgobo, our Fabrication Technician, builds and prepares the sign structures and fittings that hold everything together. He works on boards, frames, panels and mounting details, making sure the final piece can stand up to wind, sun and ordinary wear. His attention to fixing points and edge finishing helps reduce call backs later on.
- Print production for short runs and repeated signage
- Vinyl cutting and graphic lamination for indoor and outdoor use
- Sign fabrication sized for walls, windows, doors and floors
Vehicle graphics and installation on site
Kagiso Moeketsi, our Vehicle Graphics Lead, handles wraps, branding panels, decals and fleet markings. He knows how to work around curves, handles, rivets and panel joins so the finished vehicle looks tidy and stays readable. For taxis, delivery vans, bakkies and service vehicles, he focuses on visibility, correct placement and a neat edge finish that holds up in daily use.
Johan Smit, our Senior Installer, takes care of fitting on site and brings calm experience to the jobs that need ladders, careful alignment and a steady hand. He deals with sign installation, door graphics, wall decals and maintenance visits, often in conditions where access is tight or the surface has been marked by sun exposure. Johan also checks that what went up is secure and level before he leaves.
Together they make sure the final result is not only seen but properly fixed, which is where a lot of sign work either succeeds or fails.
How we work for local businesses
Our team is set up for practical signage needs across Bloemfontein Signs, Mangaung Signs, Botshabelo Signs, Thaba Nchu Signs, Welkom Signs and Kroonstad Signs, with work also reaching Brandfort and Winburg. That includes site surveys before fabrication, refurbishment of older signs, debranding for changed tenants, and maintenance visits after installation.
Because many clients operate in shopping centres, roadside locations or municipal areas, the details matter: mounting height, fire access, visibility from traffic, and how the material will handle dust, UV exposure and coastal-style humidity from cleaning and weather changes. The goal is simple, signs that stay readable and look right for longer, with less trouble for the client later on.
When you deal with Central Signs, you are not just ordering a sign. You are working with a small local team that understands the full process from artwork to final fit, and that keeps the job practical from the start.
